A sales manager walks into an empty conference room and starts ferociously white boarding an idea that just came to him. The CMO walks by, sees the whiteboard, pops her head in and says, “I hope you’re not planning on doing that this year. There is no budget.” A director from IT pops in and says, “There is no bandwidth for us to build that in the next two quarters.” The sales manager erases the board and goes back to their cubicle.
